4. Edge bow or cambering
On perforated sheets with different side margins (e2 > e1)it is possible to produce an edge bow or cambering effect. This effect is the deflection "d" between one of the longitudinal edges and a straight line joining the two end corners of the sheet.
The value of the deflection "d" will refer to the concave side. It depends on length, width, thickness, open area, type of material and the relationship of e2 > e1
If sheets are cut after perforation, the cambering refers only to the perforated pattern.
Maximum value for edge bow "d":
| Length of sheets | [d] |
|---|---|
| up to and including 2000 mm | 5 mm |
| up to and including 3000 mm | 7,5 mm |
| up to and including 4000 mm | 10,0 mm |
| up to and including 5000 mm | 12,5 mm |
| up to and including 6000 mm | 15,0 mm |
